An amazing airport welcoming tourists and locals to the hearts of wild life Africa. The landing sight on the runway is stunning. The staff are very helpful and organised. The airport looks like a thatched African hut . You can easily find parking and the car hire companies. There are a variety of restaurants to eat lunch or dinner. There is a snack shop to purchase food and drinks before or after the flight. The airport is nothing like you have ever seen at airports around the world. This airport has its own leg to stand on and no other airport comes on par with this airport . You really feel like you are in the African bush even though you are a just a passenger in the terminal. I would highly recommend experiencing this beautiful welcoming and majestic airport. There are daily commercial flights from this airport to Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town and even Victoria Falls. Safair operates the Boeing 737-800 to Cape Town and Airlink operates the Embraer aircraft.

Positive Women’s Network (PWN) Event
The event was hosted in Tekatakho, Kabokweni at the Herohim Church on the 13th of December 2023. KMIA joined hands with PWN – which is a national organisation aimed to address GBV, HIV/Aids, TB, substance abuse as well as social welfare – to make this event possible for our local community . There were around 50 people who attended the event from the surrounding community, which made it an intimate session with one-on one sessions, instead of having larger crowds. We are grateful and honoured to be associated with these events and would definitely host another similar event in 2024.

The Importance of Tourism
This initiative is designed to educate young students about the importance of tourism in our region, highlighting career opportunities and fostering a sense of pride and ownership in our local attractions. Our goal is to ensure the sustainability of the tourism industry for future generations.
the creativity of young minds
The Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport recently celebrated the creativity of young minds through an art project in collaboration with Edwaleni Primary School. Seventeen exceptional drawings were chosen to adorn the airport's art wall, showcasing the talent and imagination of the learners. The project culminated in an awards ceremony recognizing the top three artists, highlighting their outstanding contributions and providing them with well-deserved recognition for their artistic endeavours. This initiative not only beautified the airport but also fostered a sense of pride and accomplishment among the students and the broader community.
Scholar Patrol Painting Project
KMIA made a significant contribution by donating paint buckets to the traffic department. This will be used to enhance road safety by refreshing the road markings at scholar patrol points for schools around the Kabokweni area. Such markings are crucial for the protection of young pedestrians, especially in areas with heavy traffic near school.
